Family and Friends Day 2022
Man's greatest challenge is not the devil, but the struggle within to be significant which opens the wide door for the devil. The Holy Spirit closes such a door while echoing Jesus saying, "Learn to die to self and be significant in the Garden of the Almighty God."

Sis. Angela Jordan, Grant Lovell AMEC, Welcome Message
Good morning, everybody. Welcome to the YPD Youth Conference 2024 at Grant Lovell AME Church, Moberly, MO
I am Rev. Victor Vidal, Pastor of Grant Lovell Chapel, AME Church, Moberly, and Bethel AME Church in Macon, MO.

I welcome all of you to this Youth Conference both young and adults.
My message to the youths at this conference
First. Read your Bible, Pray every day, and use God’s direction as your guiding light in life.
Open your heart and let Jesus speak to you through the frequency line of the Holy Spirit.

Second. Learn to think for yourself and do not allow anybody to think for you. If you have a question, ask your parents or your pastor.
Get your education and learn good job skills. This will be the key to your success in life.

Third. Watch the group that you keep because, your present group will define your future.

Fourth. Never respond to a disagreement with violence. You can always walk away from a fight. It’s a smart thing to do.

Fifth. Do not disrespect your parents. You can disagree with them, but you don’t have to insult them. God wants you to honor your parents.

Sixth. When you run into trouble with your peers no matter the problem go tell your parents or your pastor. They will get you out.

Seventh. Be a good Christian leader in preaching the Gospel message of Christ to your peers. Don’t follow any group outside the church. Lead others to Christ by your examples.

Eight: Do not bully any of your peers because such behavior has detrimental effects on youths like you.

Ninth: Always say no to drugs because drugs can send you to jail and worse, drugs can kill you.

Tenth and lastly, Pray every day and let the Holy Spirit direct your journey in life.
As a pastor, I wish you the best of luck in your journey of life. Stay in church and listen to messages from your pastor. God bless you and your parents. Amen!
